held at festival place just up the road from the cafe, julie and i wandered along with friends chad and thea to check out the latest liquor features (thanks to laurie of PMA for the tickets!). i found a couple of pleasant beers made by Yukon Brewing Company. i particularly enjoyed their espresso stout and heard about their cranberry wheat ale that might work for the female audience at the cafe.
the beer and wines at the cafe are not creating huge sales for us but we always knew it would be a slow burner - a product range that would take time to establish and customers a while to realise that they can relax at haven with liquor as well as coffee.
i guess if in the long run it doesn't work out....julie and i get to drink a lot of beer and wine! i can live with that.
