i shake my head in shame at my abysmal attempts to keep this blog in check. however, someone made a comment to me: less is more. so, my next few will be concise entries to allow a little more of a bite-size approach.
it went very well and it was an excellent introduction into the world of catering and larger functions. i made a concerted effort to ensure that we had pictures of the cafe to show people; offer people an idea of what we were about as well as a take-away version of our menu.
i think we made a good impression. i certainly felt like I met a lot of lovely people who are potentially interested in using us for future events.
and to add to the good news we are doing quotes this week for parties to be held at the cafe. it just keeps building....
this week is shaping up to be cafe haven's best to date. a combination of great early week sales followed by an invitation by one of Julie's friends (thank you Alana of Tasty Takeaways!) to help cater at a technology networking event, helped make this a frantic but successful week. for the event, we rocked up with a 8 different types of dessert, kindly made fresh by our exclusive supplier, to have guests drooling over the delights!
