leaky roof

oh dear. oh deary me. when you spend nearly $4k in rent every month you don't want to arrive 6am to find one of your couches sodden in rusty pipe water and patches of floor bubbling up from puddles of rain.

we had heard rumours from some of the regulars that rain has a bad habit of making its way into the premises. i was worried because it was not only cutting down the volume of people we could get into the cafe but also because customers might get a bad perception of cafe haven.

the landlord was quick to act. we had contractors fixing the roof on the same day. The rain continued and so did the problem until the following day. more contractors and they think they have found the problem. lets hope so. the rain was not by any means torrential and if it happens again i think the conversation with the landlord might have to be a different one.

the landlord did everything in his power to get our business back on its feet with the least amount of delay. that has to be recognised.
